Dedicated to Protecting Your Legal Rights

I have experience as a law clerk, a prosecutor and a defense attorney. I have tried cases as a prosecutor and defense attorney. This gives me a great perspective of your case’s strengths and weakness. I will use my experience to fight for you.

My History

I began practicing law in 2011. I clerked for the Honorable Jose Lopez in Washington, D.C. from 2011 to 2012. I then started a law firm with a friend in Mt. Airy, NC in 2012. I practiced mostly in the areas of criminal law and family law from 2012 to 2017.

I then worked as a prosecutor in Vance County, NC from 2017 to 2018. I now have experience on all three sides of the courtroom, from working under a judge and as a prosecutor to representing defendants and clients in court.

In 2018, when my wife and I found out we were expecting our baby boy, we returned to Surry County. In January 2019, I opened a firm and began to practice as a sole practitioner. I have been practicing criminal law for over eight years and have tried eight jury trials to a verdict. I most recently tried a case of two counts of attempted murder. No case is too big or too small to fight all the way.

Educational Background

I entered Florida State University College of Law in 2008 and graduated in 2011. I took the North Carolina State Bar and passed in the summer of 2011. Before law school, I attended North Carolina State University and graduated with a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Political Science in December 2007.
